Am a bit unclear as to whether or not he collided with you here. If he did and failed to stop - then report it. No he didn't collide. He did try taking the racing line when there was someone to the right of him. With no where to go, I just eased off and then followed. Oh, I know some people on the ...

There was one important thing you 'forgot' to highlight in a quote box...namely... NOW before I continue..don't jump down my throat, I'm only providing scenarios not apportioning blame on you or anyone... Perhaps you missed that bit? :) I saw it. I didn't jump down anybodies throat. --- Aditional.....

No amount of bleating, blaming or complaining will stop the idiots that you came into conflict with. So we're suggesting alternative strategies so that you can be safer on the road in spite of the idiots. Or let me put it another way... There will always be idiots. What are you going to do about it...

"Drivers entering aren't allowed to just barge other traffic aside, that's what give way refers to. But traffic on the motorway still has an an obligation to be safe and considerate: this means assisting joining traffic where possible and leaving a safe gap for people to move into. Remember th...

Who's fault is it, if someone drives into the side of you on a roundabout? ie, you're both on the roundabout together, but someone wants to be where you are because they're in the wrong lane (and is an incompetent twit) so just drifts into the side of you? This is one of those things that really sh...

The worst ones for me are those who enter (and leave) a roundabout in the nearside lane, but insist of driving as straight as possible across the roundabout - using both lanes. The last idiot that did that to me left me nowhere to go, other than stop. He managed to do over £2000 of damage to a stat...

There's something more going on though. I've been trying to discuss, rather unsuccessully on the newsgroups. Trying to get an intelligent response is quite difficult. But what this "kid" did to me, and indeed what people do to you while you're driving your van, is nothing short of bullying...

Its one thing blocking you, it's another trying to ram you off the road! Sometimes I feel just like letting them do it, hold my ground, in the correct land, and let them drift into me. But then apparently it's 50% my fault because someone decides they have a right to be where I am. It's Maureen from...

I'll put it another way. "What would make me feel safer would be if motorists kept within the speed limit (30mph) instead of overtaking me at much higher speeds than this; and a speed camera might have this effect." Signing off. What would make me feel safer, is being competent, educated,...

(Wasn't happy with the original version, I read a few things wrong) I must say Dondare, I am confused about your comments. If two pedestrians collide very little harm is done. If a motorist and a pedestrian collide, death or serious injury is a likely result. The danger comes from the car, the drive...

Im in a heated discussion with an expert in cycling group... Ahem... One of his posts was: So allowing motorists to drive at unsafe speeds is now the obligation of pedestrians. And bullies' victims should all behave thus. "Simple physics!" , "self preservation!" cry the apologist...

I was driving along the M40 today and was passed by a Police motorbike travelling VERY quickly with headlights, blue lights and sirens. I could see him coming from a long way off but some total idiot in a gold coloured Peugeot 407 pulled straight out in front of him doing about 60mph with no signal...

I think we need more deaths. The Government is stripping every bit of personal and social responsibility away from us. I can envisage a time where we'll have buzzers to press to notify authorities if we're having a heart attack, rather than anybody actually assuming responsibility and helping out th...

Oh yeah, Im a fan of using a horn. But does anyone know where I can get a decent one from? Some kind of truck horn? I got a Nissan Primera and it's a bit weak and feeble. Would have come in handy a few weeks back, when I pull onto a mini island - sorry, roundabout, and some twonk in a BMW decides to...

I don't like the idea of police discretion. It's too imprecise. But I have heard this used. Might have been the original posting... It seems bizarre how a roundabout with no "traffic island" and keep left bollard could be legal to overtake an abandoned car, but as soon as they put up a kee...

Worst thing I ever saw was some 70-something on the A49. There is one overtaking place in about 10 miles, and as soon as we got alongside he decided to put his foot down; went from 40 to 70mph to stop us overtaking. As we were in a Fiesta 1.1 we had to stop.. And that's what all these speed limiter...

The artic I followed at 15-25mph up a country lane for three miles on Friday (I think looking for a farm as he almost stopped as he passed each one) clearly didn't feel guilty about having five cars behind him the whole way..... Five cars? Nothing! You should have seen the JCB that came round the c...

Keep Left arrows. Well I learned something this week. That going on the wrong side of them are illegal. But Im perplexed. It seems, if a vehicle has broken down, if there's some other obstruction, perhaps the bus drivers got out for a urinatory exercise, or maybe too many people have climbed on boar...
