I wonder how long the camera will be out of action?

If its out for any length of time, following CSCP logic, there will be a large increase in the number of KSI's at the location

The van parks there a lot, scamming traffic coming down quite a steep hill - dual carriageway, 30 limit  Very easy to pick up speed down that hill.  :o

http://www.lep.co.uk/news/Speed-camera-is-petrolbombed.5252047.jpI know this location well. The camera is situated 300 yards after a junction just over the brow of a bridge. Nasty looking skid mark appeared there recently as well

The possibilities are endless  Just because no tickets were issued, does that mean they chose to scrap any NIP's they would have sent once the proverbial hit the fan or did they not detect anyone exceeding the limit??

The Lanca$hire Talivans do seem to be a lot more active at the moment (since the start of the new financial year strangely enough  ).I've seen one scamming every day over the last week, whereas before April I can't remember when I last saw one active.A favourite location at the moment is Runs...

It's a 30 limit, strangely enough  It used to be a 40 but was reduced about a year ago!Where the van was is in a dip with steep hills either side - very easy to pick up speed down the hill, which is why the van goes there

Lancashire Police operated a speed trap yesterday in Clayton Brook (about 0.5 miles away from this other location), parked in a bus stop which caused an obstruction for the buses.

They really do have a lot of problems at the moment Lancashire Police. Time to get a grip Mr Finegan.... :o

I really do despair at this Government  There are far too many "hit and run" "fail to stop" etc incidents already - lots more I suspect if this goes ahead?

I've just read this article in the Lancs Evening Post - http://www.lep.co.uk/news/Soft-justice-claims-for-car.4770145.jp The story is quite frankly disgusting, I won't mix my words! Just a thought - 299 "joyriders" - how many of their victims have also been "victims" of the Lanca...

Far be it from me to condone such wanton vandalism, but i must confess to a chuckle when I heard about this incident  It will be interesting to see how much Police resource is placed on this enquiry  Shame Callaghan has departed or we could have joked about his beard being singed  :l...

Good news generally! Those cycle lanes were ridiculous  :roll:Last year I was tailgated and then dangerously overtaken due to complying with the 20 limit between Waterhead and Ambleside - slower speeds safe lives ... :?

As usual the press have got it totally wrong. There are no plans to ban parents from providing lessons for their children; properly structured private practice is highly valuable to most pupils. What is proposed is there will be a requirement for every pupil to have a minimum number of lessons with ...

Notice Mr Westgarth said the warden "pinched" her - is this a figure of speech, or an allegation of assault? Ernest is dead right about the Kendal traffic system though, the lunatics really did take over the asylum :o BTW whatever happened to Nick Raymond's (Cumbria CC Area Engineer) promi...

Andy welcome.

Just a thought - it was 7.30am on 23/12 so must have been pitch dark still! How good are the street lights on this road?

If the lights are poor, would better lighting have made a difference?

I logged on last night after I read the awful news on Teletext, but just couldn't think what to say.

Goes without saying, best wishes to all Paul's family and friends at this difficult time.

Paul, RIP - you made a difference.

Best wishes, Anthony
