I'd like to see the current Pass Plus course made compulsory. I passed my test relatively recentley (14 months ago) and the Pass Plus was a massive help in gaining experience after passing. Driving on the motorway for the first time is so much easier and less nerve racking when you have an instructo...

I got from Winchester to Stansted for £23 return at the beginning of November, that was 2 mainline trains and the tube each way. I use it most weekends for going to Saints home games simply because it's much quicker than sitting in traffic trying to get out of Southampton. It takes 15 minutes on the...

Low fares? Here a single into the city centre (3 miles) is only 45p cheaper than a single on the train to Southampton (15 miles).
In terms of petrol the bus is 4 times more expensive than driving, 3 hours of parking in the city centre would roughly balance out the costs. |

I think challenging the validity of human contribution to global warming is a bit far out for SafeSpeed. I myself am extremely skeptical but associating the campaign with what is still looked upon by the vast majority of the media as a bit of a "luncatic fringe" viewpoint might damage your...

Will the speed measuring equipment be obvious to motorists? If so we can expect the great majority of motorists mistake the equipment for a speed trap, panic brake and drive significantly below the speed limit as indicated by their over-reading speedo. To be honest Smeggy I think they’ve already be...

Not as bad as that but I ran into one earlier today. I was approaching a t-junction at the end of a road, going to turn right. There was a lot of traffic on the main road so I was waiting a while and a cyclist I'd overtaken futher back had caught up. He came up behind me, and waited behind for all o...

On page 11, point 35 it states: However, evidence suggests that when traffic is travelling at constant speeds, even at lower level, it may result in shorter and more reliable journey times A couple of things with that quote. Firstly, what evidence? Secondly, how does a lower speed limit suddenly mea...

I know the driver of the car in the original accident through another forum. The kids on the bike were both drunk, no helmets and had taken so much ecstasy that they would most likely have died of that if they hadn't crashed into him. The bike was unroadworthy and they had no lights on at around 11:...

any driver who can't judge their speed without having to constantly look at their speedo is either drunk or so incompetant that they should not be driving in the first place. Period. So you can tell the difference between 30mph and 31mph without looking at your speedo? After all, that 1mph is all i...
