I did this with an energy supplier who, despite being politely and firmly requested to stop calling me persisted in ringing my mobile. Once they called me when I was in Spain, thereby costing me money to take their sales call. I eventually wrote to the chief exec of the company advising him that my ...

...That you favour mob rule whilst I prefer to be led by wise men?.. The wise men, one of whom, declared with confidence that each computer on the internet was identified buy a unique Intellectual Property address? He's the one who was assigned the task of delivering the 'Digital Britain' plan. Per...

Even the details are fairly sparse in one of them! Don't you have some enlig...

I wouldn't worry too much, if you're on hospital grounds then there isn't much they can do in the way of enforcement (it's unlikely it's Highway authority land). Most of the hospitals I've worked with don't really care much about people parking left, right and centre anyway. Even if they do, just c...

Prior anticipation, observation will possibly prevent the accident, not that they are travelling at the 'legal speed limit' as that is highly likely to still be too fast. Well then, presumably travelling above the speed limit is too fast again. Is it lunchtime in Trollsville again? My how time flie...

I've used Recuva with some success, it's free so there's nothing to lose. Are you looking to restore files that were mistakenly deleted or has there been a failure on the hard drive? If it's the latter I can vouch for Arax which I've used on a disc that failed due to overheating. It found almost eve...

In the absence of a question mark I'll take that to be a statement.

Now, the evidence behind that statement is?..

A spokesman for the partnership said: "It seems amazing that so many people should be caught speeding when the cameras' presence and the speed limits are so clear. "But the measures are in place for everybody's safety, including those working on the motorways. We would ask people to drive...

I've just watched it again and I really can't see anything other than a bully in uniform lashing out needlessly. If there was a real threat there why was there not an order for more officers to draw their asps? He decided unilaterally that giving a slap wasn't enough and wanted to go back for more. ...

Hmmm - "pre-emptive strike" sounds a whole lot better than "Hit first, ask questions after" doesn't it?

Also, just how well trained is this guy if he can't tell a carton of orange juice from a weapon? (Or "weapons" as quoted in the article)

For copying/cloning a disc, Seagate have made a cut down version of Acronis avaliable. It's called Disc Wizard

A good, free synchronising programme with plenty of options is called Pure Sync Personal Edition

I've used them both and find them quite useful.

The cameras Kevin is refering to used a flash, the Truvo mobile uses an IR illuminating flood and video. There is little problem with aiming or opinion of speed in the dark. The systems planned for dark hours working will address the people you commonly say are missed; where's the problem with this...

Whilst browsing in Tesco last night I noticed that they have an Iomega 1TB external drive for just short of seventy quid.

"Offer runs until 28th August" I think it said but I'm guessing they'll sell out before then!

A quick search suggests to me that pqservice is actually the partition that holds the original installation files for your machine. In cloning your hard disc you've cloned this extra partition which cannot be deleted in the same way that you would delete files. You may need to look around for instru...

Is it just me or is there a distinct lack of absolute, irrefutable figures showing just how many of these motorcycle officers have been injured over recent times to back up the decision? Or was it just a question of "We need to save money - heads it's the motorbikes, tails it's the dog section....
