I once saw a milkfloat in Berkley Square W1 with a clamp. I stopped my bike and chatted to the milkman who explained that he had been away for a few mins delivering to flats with a little trolley full of milk. He muttered something anout expecting to see Jeremey Beadle and went off to phone his boss...

People that are in a right hand lane at the traffic light and wait for the light to turn green before indicating right. Totally agree with the disabled thing. I am a disabled driver and use crutches. Some people think that they are just free spaces and have even been sitting in the car drinking coff...

I totally agree with Paul and and JT - its just what people do when they see the camera. It has become a conditioned response. The truth is that you dont know your exact speed at any given time without a glance at the speedo. Sure you have a good idea, probably within a few MPH +\- but am I doing 50...

Dear Mr Camera Operator I am not trying to be rude but you seem unable to grasp the concept that the reason that they brake is because they see the camera. Oh and its brake not break !

The reason they brake is simply because they see the camera. Nothing to do with their speed nothing to do with the limit.

Exactly, why brake ? The point is that people are braking just because the camera is there not because they are exceeding any limit, it is like a Pavlovian response. The camera itself is the trigger. Has anyone else noticed this ? People see the camera and brake regardless of the speed they are doing.

There is no change in limit on this section of road. It is straight, slightly downhill and 3 lanes wide. The limit is 50 for a stretch of about 3 or 4 miles. (The whole same stretch used to be 70 but that was a good few years ago now.) They react to the fixed camera but often they are not exceeding ...

Why ? because obviously the cameras, at least in his instance, have had a negative impact on the driving habits of many drivers. I thought that they were supposed to stop accidents not cause them.

I drive to and from work on the A3 and the week before last there were 2 accidents on separate days very close the the southbound speed camera as you approach Tolworth. This is sighted on a straight 3 lane dual carriageway. It appeared that cars had ended up shunting each other as somebody braked fo...
