Gentlemen. I agree with all that you are saying. I am trying to educate teh Highways Agencies appointed engineers who have no clue about traffic management. It is a specialist task now. NOt a Bridge engineers job. The road works you are all complaining about I would utterley agree are badly designed...

Yes the primary point is to miss it in the first place. The cushion is there to minimise the result of missing the advance signs, and the big 2 m high flashing thing bolted to the top of the backboard of the truck. cushions are not the be and end all..missing the damn thing in the first place is bes...

Its not justification toleave cameras in place..its the truth. Progression of teh works often requires a speed limit to ensure your safety ..you may not realise it.

SOMETIMES - The speed limit is left in place because there is a safety issue - maybe untensioned safety fence- taht requires a speed limit.. Sometimes it is not easily visible to the untrained eye... Well

The use of Impact vehicles can be more dangerousd than just working safely..

They do work butonly when hit square on.

swerve at last minute and you will die against back end of truck..cracking fun.

Being new to this site and catching up with this thread I can only echo and support Fatboytim and Safety Engineer.
