| Its exactly the same as small number plates and a dark visor. Upset a copper and they will use whatever they find. In my case overtaking a copper ended up with them following me 3 miles and nicking me in my drive for a small plate. Ho hum, support a reduction in their pensions every place you get th... |

| I clicked on the link - Where did they get their annual mileage figures from. They seem completely at odds with other research. I suspect that the bikes over 500cc have a very wide standard deviation, ranging from sports bikes with less than 1,500 per year to tourers who do 8-9k per year. I think o... |

May has, I believe, a triumph speed triple (the 1050 i think). He also has a model train set, I have met him in my local model train shop and he really is a nice chap. |

| I agree with your maths, but life is never simple as that. You overlook the point that the driver braked too, therefore slightly extending the ETA, not by much but perhaps enough. It is perfectly possible for someone to react within that time if they were on the lookout for such danger and had plan... |

| Yes. A civil conviction. Can you define the difference? Yes: one is a criminal conviction and one is a civil conviction . . . . . What would be an example of a civil conviction? I have heard of civil penalties, but not civil convictions. Trespass is a civil offence and thus would lead to a civil co... |

Similarly the mobile phone network tracks movements/personal interaction but can be avoided. So another huge amount of cash goes to some government contractor for little ... |

| Reminds me of an incident a few years ago. I saw a landrover discovery fly into a flood in much the same fashion. I was following in my mum's mini metro. I waited for the water to calm down then (with a little local knowledge; the pavement on the right had a very high curb so i had two wheels on tha... |

| Back in "The good old days" I got the distinct impression that :bib: that realised that you had seen them (and slowed down accordingly) generally concluded that you were competant enough to drive at that speed. I can remember back in the 80's I was doing a "Sensible" 85 or so on... |

| This simply proves you have no idea how a bike steers not that having the front up is dangerous. At any speed above 10 or 15 miles an hour you can not physically affect the steering apart from a minimal amount. Do a little reading on counter steering and bike dynamics then we can talk more. Most wh... |
