Having just driven to work in a rain storm so heavy, it was 40 or less most of the way, my immediate observation would be that the rain was creating it's own mist/fog above the road, and on the windscreen, so my FOG lights were ON for part of the way! Come on, doesn't anyone remember the foglight p...

Got to agree there.

Shabba you're a fool if you think you can safely assume every other roaduser's reasoning, motive and temperament.

We all assume that every single time we get into a car otherwise no-one would be able to travel!

After 4 or 5 rounds of that I find most people get the message and move to a decent distance to save their sanity. Will you still think it's a good idea to do that when instead of the tailgater backing off, they swerve in front of you, slam the anchors on, and then drag you out of your vehicle and ...

You can see their frustration... And you think it's a good idea to frustrate another driver? Frustration > anger > mistakes > crashes. And in this case you're directly in the line of fire. No more so than they clearly do. Their frustration is directly proportional to the frustration they cause me b...

Normally I would tend to move over and let them pass to hassle the next person in line, but if I'm on the motorway and I'm stuck behind someone aswell, then I have found that slowing slightly, creating a gap, then speeding slightly and filling it again is the best method for dealing with tailgaters....

If all vehicles had their headlights on and some were to use main beam, like a few brainless bikers I could mention, then bikers' use of lights would be rendered useless! Always good to know what others think of me, I must be brainless then........ I use main beam whenever I filter in daylight...

However what has prompted me to post this topic is the follow up sentence. It states: "Such a reason WILL NOT be accepted on any subsequent occasion and will lead to the Registered Keeper/Keeper being prosecuted for failing to supply driver details" As I understand it, this would be a case of perve...

Well, to be fair, Green Flag service is shit anyway. Having been a member before I wouldn't be again. "Inability to stop in time is the biggest cause of death on our roads.", conveniently vague. "One in three deaths could have been avoided if the driver had gone slower in towns and on rural roads.",...

This in the Telegraph this morning. I've been wondering when this would happen, and I'm not far from leaving the UK. This news has just brought leaving the UK that little bit closer. Yes, the main reason being that todays plod simply doesn't have the intelligence to differentiate between who they s...

This just in, it's part of a NIP: http://www.safespeed.org.uk/sketch034.gif Look at the last line. It's a lie. It ignores the paragraph 4 defence and misleads about the maximum points that can be awarded for a S172 offence. Question: Does this defect invalidate the NIP? Mine from S.Yorks police sai...

I thought it was a 40... the road is a dual carriageway, about as wide as a runway, perfectly straight with perfect visibilty. I travel the road everyday, have followed the police doing 40 on the same stretch several times. In the last 5 years I can't recall there ever being an accident there. After...
